Agenda

Thursday, March 1st, Day 1
Participants arrive in Salt Lake City and are met by their driver at the baggage carrousel. The drive to The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird takes approximately 35 minutes. Guests are met at the valet parking area and escorted to a special check-in area.
Until 5:30 PM -
Relax, unwind, and recharge with one of the twenty-eight unique spa treatments.
6:30 - 8:30 PM - Cocktail Party/Reception/Dinner in the Cliff Lodge Summit Room. Meet and greet all guests and guides.
8:00 - 8:30 PM - Introductions to guests and guides. What to pack.
8:30 - 9:00 PM - Weather and presentation.

Friday, March 2nd, Day 2
6:30 - 7:30 AM - Gear check with your guide. Separate bags for Base Camp and Cliff Lodge.
8:00 - 9:00 AM - Breakfast in the Forklift Restaurant - Snowbird Center. Pick up your bag lunch.
9:30 - 12:30 PM - Begin your list of skills to be learned for the day with your guide. (Refer to Course) You will be ascending 3000 feet via skis, split board, or snow-shoes.
12:30 - 1:30 PM - Lunch in the field.
1:30 - 2:30 PM - Continue your list of skills to be learned. (Refer to Course) Descend towards base camp.
3:00 - 4:00 PM - How to make a perfect campsite.
4:00 - 5:00 PM - Unpack, relax, and enjoy snacks.
5:00 - 7:00 PM - H'ors D'oeuvres and Dinner in the base camp dining facility. Dean Cardinale presents his course itinerary. Topics are geared specifically to relate mountaineering to personal interests.
7:00 - 8:30 PM - Review the day's experiences, next day's events, weather, guide assignments.

Saturday, March 3rd, Day 3
6:30 - 7:30 AM - Morning Breakfast in the base camp dining facility.
8:00 AM - Meet up with your guide and plan your day.
8:30 - 4:00 PM - Work on anything you want - from fixed ropes to front pointing and ice axe self-arrest. Ice climbing, mixed climbing, avalanche self rescue, etc.
4:00 - 5:00PM -Relax, warm up, and enjoy snacks.
5:00 - 7:00 PM - H’ors D’oeuvres and Dinner in the base camp dining facility. Play truth, truth, or lie.
7:00 - 7:30 PM - Review the day's experiences, next day’s events, weather, guide assignments

Sunday, March 4th, Day 4
6:30 - 7:30 AM - Morning Breakfast in the base camp dining facility.
8:00 AM - Meet up with your guide and plan your day.
8:30 - 4:00 PM - Work on anything you want - advanced techniques and traveling efficiently. Ice climbing, mixed climbing, safe route selection, etc.
4:00 - 5:00PM -Relax, warm up, and enjoy snacks.
5:00 - 7:00 PM - H’ors D’oeuvres and Dinner in the base camp dining facility. Play truth, truth, or lie.
7:00 - 7:30 PM - Review the day's experiences, next day’s events, weather, guide assignments

Monday, March 5th, Day 5
6:30 - 7:30 AM - Morning Breakfast in the base camp dining facility.
8:00 AM - Meet up with your guide. Discuss days summit attempt.
9:00 - 3:00 PM -All day ascent to 11,500 foot peak utilizing mountaineering and mental techniques taught to date.
3:00 - 3:30 PM - Head to Snowbird's Cliff Lodge for hot showers.
4:30 - 6:00 PM - Relax, unwind, and recharge with one of the twenty-eight unique spa treatments.
7:00 - 9:00 PM - Dinner in the Summit room. Summary presentations. Awards, photos, and goodbyes.

Tuesday, March 6th, Day 6
Depart for Home!-

*Specific guide availability is dependent on many factors. You can rest assured that you will be spending your entire time with world famous guides.

Equipment
Black Diamond Equipment Ltd. is an employee-owned manufacturer of equipment for rock climbing, alpinism and backcountry skiing. By consistently building innovative products and actively preserving the mountain environment, Black Diamond has assumed a leadership role in the international outdoor community. Black Diamond has partnered with Snowbird in providing climbing equipment for this course. Each participant will receive a Black Diamond harness, Black Diamond chalk back, Black Diamond locking biner and a Black Diamond belay device. Other gear such as hiking and climbing shoes, backpacks and clothing must be purchased by each individual participant. Please contact Roger Kehr at 801-450-0454 for gear recommendations.
